Body Options for Light-duty Trucks
|
These light-duty chassis cabs permit the installation of special use bodies and equipment such as wreckers, dumps, stake or van bodies, etc. Body length should not normally exceed 12 feet and the maximum body and payload weight should not be much more than 2250 kg (5000 lb.), depending on the model and GVWR selected.
Some of these chassis cabs are basically pickups with the boxes deleted. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, and is a generally accepted industry practice, the 3600 series are dedicated chassis-cab designs. They have a special 2 piece frame that overlaps forming a strong reinforcement. They provide Cab-to-Axle (C.A.) dimension of either 1534 mm (60.4 in.) or 2156 mm (84.9 in.) with 864 mm (34.0 in.) wide frame rails - all industry standards- to facilitate body installation.

GM TOTAL™ Warranty
|
The importance of reliability cannot be over-emphasized in commercial vehicles. Which is why we build them to withstand the daily rigours of commercial applications.
In the unlikely event that you do run into any problems, the GM TOTAL Warranty covers complete vehicle repairs, including parts and labour, to correct any defects in material or workmanship for 3 years or 60,000 km (whichever comes first).
The Duramax 6600 V8 diesel engine is covered for 5 years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first), subject to a $100 deductible after 3 years or 60,000 km (whichever comes first – not applicable on T or W Series). There are no other deductibles. Tires are included. Warranty features include towing, no-charge warranty transfer, 6 year/160,000 km (whichever comes first) corrosion perforation coverage and 8 year/130,000 km (whichever comes first) coverage on catalytic converters and powertrain control modules (PCM). Regular maintenance is not included. Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended.
